Work Boats: Blue Line Canal Carriers Ltd.

This company was based at Braunston on the Grand Union. The motorboat Nutfield is now used to tow Raymond. Raymond was the last wooden narrowboat butty built for the Samuel Barlow Coal Co. in 1958. Arthur and Rose Bray worked the boats between Atherstone and Southall. Known to the boatmen as the 'Jam 'Ol' run. In the 1960's Jim & Doris Collins also worked for the Company.
